HIGH-PERFORMANCE SYNTHETICS
A fibre that's 15 times stronger than steel, yet light enough to float on water.

Dyneema is the world's strongest fibre, and it takes many forms, from safety and reliability, to durability and efficiency.

Make light work of heavy loads with Dyneema ® fibre
General-purpose lifting slings made with Dyneema ® are uniquely strong - but there’s much more to it than that. Dyneema ® fibre is carefully engineered to overcome the weaknesses of generic synthetic slings.
• 1/3 Weight of Polyester
• No Moisture Adsorption
• Floats in Water
• Excellent Load Control
Dyneema ® fibre is manufactured from high modulus polyethylene (HMPE), which is lighter than steel and other commonly used synthetics at the same breaking strength, making Dyneema ®-based slings both safer and easier to handle - with no compromise on performance.
Beyond providing safer, more comfortable handling for construction professionals, lifting slings made with Dyneema ® fibre can result in considerable effi ciency benefits for operators.
Not only do their superior ergonomics mean teams can work faster on the ground - keeping tight timelines on track - but Dyneema ® fibres also give lifting slings a longer reliable service life than other synthetics and steel. Durable Dyneema ®-based slings need less maintenance and replacement than alternatives, so you know you’re choosing the most cost-effi cient solution for your business.

The Benefits of Spectra Fiber
• 15 times stronger than steel by weight – lighter weight/heavier loads
• Light enough to float (.97 g/cc specific gravity) – no capacity loss in water
• Hydrophobic – no water weight gain
• Chemical resistance - does not corrode and eliminates need for lubrication
• Excellent abrasion resistance – longer life
• Excellent flex and bending fatigue performance – longer life
• Very good UV resistance – eliminates the need for UV protective coatings
• Excellent cut resistance – improves durability – longer life
• Low coefficient of friction – reduces energy loss and heat buildup
